Genevieve, Oris Erhuero, Chigurl in 'Road to Yesterday' official trailer

Directed by Ishaya Bako and featuring award-winning actress, Genevieve Nnaji, Road to Yesterday introduces Nigerian-British actor, Oris Erhuero, and has a strong supporting leads in Majid Michel, Chioma ‘Chigul’ Omeruah and veteran Ebele Okaro.



Set in Lagos Nigeria, this epic love story trails a couple desperate to mend a broken marriage on a road trip to a relation's funeral. However, the journey itself throws up secrets from a distant past, imperiling a lot more than just the marriage.  

Genevieve Nnaji (‘Victoria Udoka’, the conflicted wife and mother), is Quintessential Nollywood. Possessing a stellar resume that showcases national and global accolades, as well as past credits that include the highly celebrated ‘Half of A Yellow Sun’, ‘Tango With Me’ & “Ije”.  Ms. Nnaji returns to the screen with her first feature film in over two years.

The original screenplay was written and directed by Ishaya Bako, a London Film School Alumni, and creator of a series of highly acclaimed festival favourites, including the award winning “Braids on a Bald Head” (Best Short Film at the 2012 AMAA Awards). Road to Yesterday is Bako’s feature directorial debut. 

Road to Yesterday was shot at locations across Lagos, with a proudly Nigerian cast and crew that celebrate the depth of local talent. With the support of AfricaMagic, Road to Yesterday attains a technical quality that speaks to the impressive potentials of homegrown production.

The Nigerian Premiere is set for Wednesday 13th November 2015 in Lagos, Nigeria, with nationwide release on 27th November 2015

I Feel Nothing When Playing Romantic Roles – Yul Edochie

Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, has said he sees no reason why he should not make a film character believable to viewers, especially the roles that have to do with romance.
He said no matter how much he gets engrossed in a particular role, he is never carried away because,
“During the shoot, I just die and wear the character I am playing. By the time we are done and I come back to myself, I feel nothing.
“All those romance scenes, they are about five or more crew in the bedroom with you, so how comfortable would you be to start feeling something else.”
When asked about his most embarrassing moments, the actor said, “Actually, a lot of people do a lot of things.
“One happened recently when some girls saw me and wanted to take pictures with me and this particular girl kissed me deeply and passionately right in front of my wife.
“I am so lucky; I have a wife who understands,”he added.

I am still in touch with my ex-husband, but I’ll never go back to him – Monalisa Chinda

Popular Nollywood actress and writer, Monalisa Chinda, has disclosed that though separated from her husband, they still maintain some sort of cordial relationship.
The mother of one in a recent chat with the Punch, said, “I love the whole concept and idea of love. I am open to love and marriage that would work. Marriage is always a better option and I love to be loved.
“I hope to have more children because I had always wanted to have three children. Three is just perfect but it depends.
When asked about her plans to settle down again, Monalisa said,”Well, it all depends. Like I said before, I may, I may not, but the thought of wanting to have more children pushes me into giving it a consideration. Well, God knows better.
“As for my ex, I can never go back to him, but we maintain a cordial relationship; we still keep in touch because he is the father of my child. He speaks to his child whenever he wants to,” she added.
